Life and Breakfast

This morning, I was feeling a little under the weather, so I dropped Damon off at work and went to the grocery store in search of something to feed baby and me. I looked around for quite a while. Breakfast ended up being steamed shrimp dumplings followed by pumpkin pie. Very funny, but very satisfying.

In other life- our electricity and gas bills have risen. We are on "even pay" and our gas bill (I am assuming because of the spike in oil prices over the last year) rose an additional 60%. So instead of paying $86.00 a month, we are now paying $140.00. For a 1027 sq ft house. I thought that when we got the new roof, our energy bills would go down, but apparently all of those extra layers of old roof were sealing in 60% of our energy... or something like that. It is an unwelcome surprise- So our next step is going to HAVE to be insulating the attic. I am not sure if I can do that while I am pregnant, but I am going to find out. This is something we are going to need to invest in ASAP.

Ahh reality, your bite is sharp and stinging. Thankfully, I still have enough happy endorphins to keep me smiling. This just means I have to reevaluate our finances. Hopefully I can find room for an extra $70. I imagine I can.
