Some mornings, you just wake up on the wrong side of the bed... This morning, that was me. I have a new sleepytime habit of clenching my teeth and tensing my shoulders, so I woke an hour an a half before I was supposed to with a full bladder and a headache. Apparently, I just could not shake it off and ended up tossing and turning until the alarm went off.
The rest morning was like a scene out of a sitcom- It took me forever to get ready and Damon waited on me a good 10 minutes to leave for work (because he is a bathroom hog). We left for work and Damon forgot something, so he went back, but did not have a key on his chain. Great, I managed to get us locked out of our house, and no one else has a key (because Ruth's does not work). Damon was really irritated and I was just plain pissed, so I threw my hip into the door and it flew open. Uhhh- that is kind of scary. Damon is freaked out because the door jamb is in bad shape (it already was, I just made it worse) and I was flipping out because it was SO EASY to break in. We managed a short-term solution, but by the time we got off, I was tired, hungry, irritated, and flipping out- which caused me to cry uncontrollably all the way to work.
Too bad "Everybody Loves Raymond" is not taping anymore- maybe I could win an award for the episode Damon and I just wrote. I am not certain what the title would read, but "hormones" should be the key word...
Now that I have had a chance to eat, relax, and breathe a little bit I feel ok... I am thinking about asking for a new door for my birthday.
Ahh the joys of hormonal homeownership.
