Another month- gone like the breeze created by a butterfly's wing... Swiftly fleeting, but exceedingly lovely.
This month you achieved a couple more milestones of note: You now smile quite often and occasionally giggle. I love watching you do this with your father- his eyes light up and he smiles the most "real" smile we get to see.

Your baby language is becoming more diverse. Instead of one cry that could mean just about anything, you have different intonations and calls. Though I love every one of them- I have a favorite. You yell when I am not in the room and you are bored or lonely. The sound is somewhere between a squawk and "HEY!" It comes out like a "MEH." If I do not respond quickly enough to your liking, you begin sticking your bottom lip out and Meh-ing with that bottom pouty lip. It hearkens of the Muppet character Beaker...

You have discovered your hands and when you get hungry, you thrust them into your mouth...Er,you TRY to get them in there. Mostly you suck on the closed fist. Occasionally you get a finger or thumb in there and you roll your eyes back into your head as if this better than boob... AS IF!!!
Speaking of boobs, you have reached a milestone there too... You grin when it is time to eat. I tell your dad that someday I will remind you that for a time in you life, the sun rose and set with my boobs.

This month I went back to work part time and though I am a giant mess, you have taken it like a trooper. Meme makes you laugh and Daddy gets to introduce you to lots of computer games and various electronic things of his liking. I caught him showing you Boobah the other day. This shows growth on his part. To him, Boobah was once an evil Australian show for drug addicts (I still think it is by the way). Now if he ever shows you Dora the Explorer, I will quickly take him to the nearest ER and have his head examined.
I so enjoy you, my sweet. The sun rises and sets with your face. Cooing or crying, it does not matter- I miss you when you are gone and even sometimes miss you when you are asleep. You have changed my life, and I am grateful that you chose to become part of our family.
Love, Mamma
