In the last 2 weeks you have gone from being an observer to a mover and a shaker. At least, you are starting on that trek.
These days when I lay you on your tummy your either scoot and turn (not much, maybe 45%) or you will flail your arms and legs and look at me like "LOOK MOM! I'M MOVING!!!" Sure, I find it adorable, but it is a solemn reminder that you are going to be crawling soon and I have GOT to get the house ready.
You LOVE food.

Sweet potatoes are you very favorite, followed by sweet peas (to Meme's delight), and the occasional pear. However you now get VERY upset if someone is eating around you and not sharing. You growl. For some reason the fact that you get VERY fussy around dinner did not click with me until last night when you leaned in and tried to take a chunk out of my chicken soft taco. I have a call in to Grandma for some advice because OBVIOUSLY I am not feeding you enough or properly or something. Or maybe you are just stubborn and you don't want the pureed vegetable matter, you want a KC strip steak with glazed carrots, green beans, and a baked potato.
On the Stubborness Note, you have started a very strong trend toward milk strikes. When you are with Meme or Daddy, you R-E-F-U-S-E to take a bottle. No Ma'am. I get messages from Daddy that say "no milk, but she is napping!" You know WHY you are napping? Because you eat at night. You eat more often at night than you did when you were 6 weeks old. Last night you woke up no fewer than 4 times to eat. 4 times between the hours of 10:00 and 7:00. You do the math on that.
According to babycenter.com and some other baby sites, it is "normal" for breastfed babies to do this. They want mamma-time. I love and appreciate those still small hours when you call for me, but during the day (especially at work), I am a zombie.
I suppose it is a small price to pay for the fleeting days I that I can spend with you in my arms...

Selfishly, I do hope that we can work out something a little less stressful for all involved.
Of course, you continue to grow. And you continually become more fun- giving kisses, laughing out loud (yes dear, you have your mother's laugh), and generally lighting up any room you are in.
I love you lots and lots my vibrant butterfly!
Love, Mamma
