Pyrex Hoarding, Casserole Dish Stealer

Nesting has begun~ On Sunday, I had Damon clear out every cabinet in my kitchen so I can start fresh and get things in order. Over the years things have migrated, some have lost their purpose, and in general it just needed to be done.

Today I was putting away my pyrex dishware in its new home. Except- there was more than I expected there to be. A LOT MORE. When I "grew up" I got 2 pyrex casserole dishes from my parents house, and I inherited Damon's old metal lasagna pans, and a couple of pyrex pie dishes.

I found NO LESS that 5 pieces I did not recognize as my own.

The laws of pyrex biology do not allow for reproduction- so all of these pieces must be from my mother-in-law- WHOOPS.

We will be taking them all to her house tomorrow and hope that she shows us mercy.

I would like to know how it is, exactly that we have roughly 150 billion lids for food storage containers and not a single one seems to fit the container bottoms I have been able to locate. Well, back to work- Mina is currently covered from head to toe in cinnamon. She helped me bake some bread. Did a great job kneading, and sprinkling cinnamon, until she fully upended to container and dumped it straight onto the bread. That one might need a lot of extra butter.

I hear rumblings in the other room- better go clean up the mess. I see a shower in my future.
