13 Months for Jovie

Dancing, and wiggling those feet. Not walking yet, but I know you are close... However, you are such a diva you prefer to be carried. And you prefer for me to come to you.

You have the loudest shriek I have ever heard. If you are upset, the entire neighborhood knows.

Currently you say the regular Mama, Dada, duck, cat, kitty, dog, shoe, whatstis, and a couple of other baby phrases that are words to you, but I have yet to get the idea what they are. You have said 2 two word phrases. One exclaimed in frustration "NOOOOO DADAAAA!!!!" The other in exasaperation "No no MAAAAMAAA" Not sure if they actually count as 2 word phrases, but its a start.

Stats- you are 29.5 inches tall and 23 pounds. Which means when I carry both you and your sister at the same time, I am carrying 60 pounds. HOLY COW. No wonder I get so tired! You are quite a different baby from the one that was born 13 months ago. Your hair is lighter, you are a bit less chubster and you have teeth.

OMG those teeth. You are SO miserable as they are coming in. Your teeth don't tend to come in 1 at a time. You like to do them in pairs. Right now, you are FOR CERTAIN getting a couple of molars and what appears to be a couple of eye teeth on the top. That is at least 4 teeth, maybe 6, but I can't get a good enough look in there to be sure.

You are sleeping better, you love to "swim" in our little kiddie pool, you love to grab fistfuls of my hair or your sister's hair and run it through your fingers. And you squeal with glee as I yelp in agony. Not ok. We are working on it. Mina actually puts up with it better than I do.

You are a good eater, but have reached that age in toddlerhood where you like to dump your food to see what could happen. You also throw your spoon on the floor and Mina picks it up, and this replays over and over until Mina gets tired of picking it up for you.

Your favorite foods are grapes, and spaghetti, and yogurt- oh and chicken nuggets. That is the 4 food groups, right? You like many other things, but those are the thing you occasionally have to be "cut off" from.

However, you and your sister agree that mushrooms are gross...

You are a HOOT. I don't think it will be long before you start walking and exploring all sorts of things you should not be anywhere near.

More adventure to come-
Love you Jelly Bean
