The Bradshaws made a trek down to Niangua, Missouri for a long holiday weekend. I have officially gotten past my "sick" times, and though I still feel tired, I most certainly have my appetite back. If I were an animated character, I would have been Mrs. Pacman... I chewed my way through the entire weekend. Of course, now I am back home, so I will have to regulate myself a little better.
Damon and I had a great time as we always do- but we got a special little surprise on Christmas Eve. Damon got to feel the baby move. His eyes lit up and he laughed so heartily that everyone turned to see what was going on. The baby then proceeded to kick for Landon and my Mom... It was a very bizarre feeling. My little froggy can swim! I think the wee one really liked being surrounded by family because I got a lot of sharp little kicks or wiggles the entire time we were there. When I got home, things quieted down- though today frog baby is moving once again.
Our BIG surprise was a rocking chair from my parents. It is beautiful. Simple, elegant, and sturdy. Sadly, we could not get it in the car (DAMMIT!) so it will come up in a couple of weeks with my Mom. Now I can officially start designing my baby's room. Huzzah!!!
Things are going really well- that couple of days off really re-energized me and allowed me to relax. The kitties are glad we are home and I am glad I have a couple more days off at the beginning of next week! I can go BABY STUFF SHOPPING~ WHEEEEEEEE.
Now back to work- Luckily it is a nice short week.
