One month, time flies. As your mother, I feel more confident and happy than I have ever felt in my entire life. What a precious gift. I continually find myself gazing at you and smiling. Even when I hand you to friends or family, I fixate on your beautiful face and marvel in every movement and sound you make.
Today, you smiled at me, twice. A real smile. It was fleeting, but different from other smiles in the past. I SQUEALED with delight. (probably scaring you in the process) You have also added some "coos" to your grunts and squeaks. Your dad got some of these great sounds recorded today. I hope you get a chance to enjoy those someday.
After a long weekend of travel, you seemed almost relieved to come home. This was our first out of town trip and you did quite well. Once again, you were entranced by Grandma and Kunshi. All of your grandmas seem to have baby voodoo... You find them fascinating. It is a lot of fun to hand you to Meme, Grandma, or Kunshi and watch them work their magic.
While "hanging out with dad" in the studio, you spit up... It was a great spit up- It went the distance. You dad measured "4 feet" from your mouth to the end of the projectile puddle. I swept you up and took you for a bath.
You are SO much fun to bathe. You enjoy the warm water and freedom to kick your feet. Of course, today you made bath time extra "exciting." You began with a strong fart... One that made me laugh out loud, and you dad questioned if that was in fact yours, and not mine. But you did not just send gas bubbles to the surface of the water... OH NO- shortly thereafter, you pooped in the water. I have three words for you. Green curdled poo. And then for good measure, you peed on me.
But it was worth it- we got some great pictures.
