I hope this does not become a habit... The last two Sunday nights, Mina has been unsatisfied with her usual bedtime routine. I usually escort her off to bed in a very peaceful state somewhere around 9:30. On a "normal" night, she will sleep from 9:30 until somewhere around 3:30. She wakes to eat and then goes back to sleep until 6:30 when she eats again and then tends to go back to sleep until 9- unless she is going to Meme's house, in which case she gets up and refuses to go back to sleep for Meme.
Anyhow- on Sunday nights (and any other night when her "schedule" is disturbed) she might go to sleep at 9:30 as a trick. THEN wakes again within an hour and fusses and snarfles and butts me with her head. Usually she is insisting that she get to nurse again and when/if I eventually give in she continues her head butting and adds nipple biting for fun OR she will "eat" heartily and pass out within 5 minutes... Like she just needed to be "topped up."
Last night she did the head butting, nipple biting fun-times dance intermingled with squawks and the occasional screech meaning "pay more attention to me, and figure it out crazy lady!" By midnight, she was officially back to sleep, and then she proceeded to wake at 3:30, 4:30, 5:00, and 6:30. She would eat a little and go back to sleep, fuss, wake-
I know these are normal things and I am VERY thankful that she is such a good nightime sleeper the rest of the time... However, I wonder if she is keying into my anxiety and depression cocktail AKA The Sunday Night Blues, and that noticeable change in my "energy" is affecting her circadian rhythms?
Or perhaps I am just reading too much into things that are normal baby behavior.
