An "International Delight"

Mina gets 'expressed' milk 3 days a week. I pump at work multiple times during the day and then refrigerate the results until they are warmed and fed to Mina in a bottle by Damon or Meme...

An important part of this is "quality control." I get nervous about the milk spoiling because of improper storage or something like that, so often I will smell it and stick my finger in it to taste it. I still get a little grossed out doing this, but it keeps my anxiety low.

This morning, my expressed milk from Tuesday smelled like honey, very strong. And it tasted normal- sweet and rich.

Then it occurred to me- I have tasted something like that recently that was NOT breastmilk.

At work we have little "international delight" creamer in sealed mini cups. I got some on my hand the other day and licked it off...

So- my breastmilk tastes like fru-fru coffee creamer; I could save money on coffee creamer by adding a little breastmilk instead.

Nope. Too gross. Makes me gag a little just thinking about it. It feels like some weird form of cannibalism... Milk cannibalism...
