This morning as I was getting Mina ready to go to Meme's, I came at her with the one clean outfit I had. A pink jumper with teeny tiny flowers on it. Mina balked. Shook her head, and did the sign for no in addition to exclaiming NO! So I stopped, looked into her eyes and she said "Flowers." Apparently she wanted to wear flowers. When I showed her the teeny tiny flowers on the outfit, she relented and nodded her head.
Normally, I give her a couple of clothing choices, but today we were our of clean clothes, save this one jumper.
It never occurred to me that at such a young age she could have such a strong opinion about clothing. I hope she ends up liking dresses~ I really enjoy making them.
I used to be afraid of having a "girly girl." Now I love the idea.
Lets hope she has better fashion sense than I did. I went through a very long period where I would only wear purple, and if possible I did not want to wear socks. The sock thing lives to this day- I wonder if it is akin to me not liking a top-sheet on my bed?
Weird how we grow and change... And sometimes stay the same.
