Eventful Weekend, the Family Knows

We let the family in on the wee one's arrival. Thanks to modern marvels like Instant Messaging with Web Cameras, we were able to tell Mom and Mike. Damon wrote "BABY" on my belly in eyeliner, and I flashed it to them over the internet. It was HILARIOUS. I hear that mom said "a real baby?" They were very surprised, Damon and I giggled for a long while about that.

Damon's family was fun too- We were going to the RenFest, so Damon concocted a scheme to "show Caroline our costumes." He wrote a "Proclimation" (his spelling, not mine~) and Ruth managed to spot it in his hand while we were getting our picture taken. He handed it to her, and she got about 3 lines into it, jumped to her feet and screamed, yes screamed, "Oh MY GOD" multiple times. It was GREAT. We got lots of hugs and kisses. Caroline giggled, though I doubt she has any idea what a cousin is....

It was such a wonderful weekend, tiring, but wonderful. These are definitely stories we can pass down... And of course, Damon and I have new pop culture sayings to add. A Real Baby? That is just hilarious. A Real Baby. Yes Mom, it is a real baby.

And of course, we are trying to keep this just within the family- because we are not out of the woods... But Ruth yelled so jubilantly that the entire Madison Street Neighborhood knows something it up...

I am doing well. Smells seem to be a bit more intense... Especially smoke- however, it could all be in my head. Oh- and I want meat. That is really REALLY bizzarre for me. Perhaps it is just my body reminding me to get enough protein. I am not going to call this a craving, but it is a curiousity. Yesterday I had my first scotch egg. In the past, they made me gag. Yesterday- SOOOO GOOOD. Damon looked at me and said "who are you and what have you done with my wife?"
