Yes, I fell on my ass, HARD. To be honest, I am amazed we made it this far before I took a royal fall, I am not known for my grace. I was coming down the stairs, talking, and carrying a bra... Apparently, it was too much for me to do at once and I manged to lose my footing, falling swiftly and deliberately on my butt-bone. In my shock I was able to yell to Damon that I was "ok," as I could hear him scrambling wildly to assist me.
It has been 36 hours since I fell on my ass and I am pretty sure I bruised my tailbone, but the baby is just fine, and I have had no real complications other than massive bouts of whinyness and an EXTREMELY sore ass-bone. It does suck, but the important thing is that the baby is doing fine.
In fact, I think the baby may be enjoying all of the rest I am getting. RatCat and the baby have bonded. As I am spending much of my time in a semi-reclined position, RatCat is obliged to lay on my belly and purr for the little one, who wiggles and kicks in return.
We are officially past the "halfway point." I remember a couple weeks ago wondering if I would ever get to this point- I am starting to enjoy pregnancy a great deal. My waist has swelled by a full 8 inches since this venture began... I am starting to wonder how much bigger I can get- A lot bigger, I guess.
Next time before I get pregnant, I am going to get a couple of extra vertebrae installed so I have more room in my abdomen.
