Can You Say "Full Term" Boys and Girls?

Full term today. AKA- Kid could show up at any moment if she really wanted to.

I called the midwives this morning to fill them in on my appointment with Dr. Schwartz earlier this week. I chatted quickly with Kim. Apparently Dr. Howard is still undecided as to WHO is going to induce/deliver me. Kim said he probably won't "know" until after the amnio on Tuesday. I am guessing it will have more to do with the size of the baby (head and shoulders) and my health at that point in time. If there is a decent change of c-section, the midwives are out.

I would prefer to have the midwives, simply because I think I will be allowed to use more unorthodox/natural ways of starting my labor, and I assume the birthing part would be supported differently. But even if I end up with Dr. Howard, he is a great doc and the nurses at Research have been really understanding, compassionate, and caring. I am in good hands.

Kim suggested that I double my daily dosage of Evening Primrose Oil to 2000 mg, and TMI ALERT start inserting 2000 mg into my "girl parts" nightly. TMI ALERT OVER

Insurance is still unsettled, Damon ended up calling this morning about my coverage (after I called 4 times yesterday). He got the exact same answers I have gotten at each call. Our only method of coping? Calling again tomorrow... As long as we have the numbers by Monday, I will be ok.

And speaking of Damon, he is ridiculously excited. Whereas I have some apprehension about being in labor, being hooked up to monitors, and actually BIRTHING this baby- he has his eyes firmly set on the prize. He cannot wait to hold our little girl in his arms.

I am excited about meeting her and holding her too- but I still have some anxieties to wade through and some physical hurdles to jump before we get there. However, visiting my friend Reba and her handsome newborn son really helped me refocus and remember what/who I am doing all of this for. It is easy to get caught in my fears- the drama of labor and delivery while managing to COMPLETELY FORGET that you get a prize at the end...
