Blood Sugar Battles

Afternoon and Evening blood sugars have been spot-on... Perfect... But mornings are another story. Overnight, the human growth hormone (in me and the baby) ups its production and knocks my insulin down for the count. At least that is the theory I have found on a couple of diabetes websites. I think this is called "dawn syndrome."

I am to continue monitoring and I will be adding a short walk in the mornings and see if that helps. I have also been asked to relax.

I don't think I remember how to relax. I can lay on the couch like a beached whale... My body relaxes, but I can't seem to get my brain to be quiet for long periods of time unless I am sleeping. Good luck with that one!

If I cannot get them down, it may mean medication and I am desperately hoping NOT to have to take medication.

Here is hoping that a little extra morning exercise and some de-stressing helps things out.
